Dear YTSAs,

Firstly, Happy Lunar New Year and hope you guys enjoyed yourself collecting "ang pows" and eating all the CNY goodies. :)

Singapore Sports Council will be organising the 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010 on the 20th March 2010 (Saturday) and they need enthusiastic helpers and participants for this event.

As you all know, YOG is around the corner, we feel that this will be a good platform for YTSAs to set an example to the others out there on how we should cheer for Team Singapore when they are competing in the games and also at the same time, we are able to improve our cheering by learning the positives from the participating teams. Therefore, we would like to encourage you guys to participate in this cheering event as I think it will be a good exposure for you guys.

If you are not interested in participating, we hope you can be part of the team by helping out on the event day itself as we will work together to make the 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010 a huge success!

Details as follow:
Participating Team

Event : 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010
Date : 20th March 2010 (Saturday)
Time : TBC when competition schedule is out ( Will be at least a half day)
Venue and Attire : TBC

Others : 1) 10 - 15 Pax per team (We hope to have at least 20 pax to form two teams)
2) Participants have to come up with their own cheers, actions and props if needed
3) Cheer is to be within 60sec to 75sec (Must form your formation and leave the competition platform within 30secs)

*1 CD Project Point will be awarded to all participants


For more information, please approach your group leaders for the rules and regulations and the Registration Form for the Cheering Competition. Interested parties, please complete the Registration Form and send it to your respective leaders by 2pm, 28th February 2010 (Sunday).

Helping Team


Event : 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010
Date : 20th March 2010 (Saturday)
Time : 12 noon to 7pm
Venue : TBC
Attire : TBC
Others : 1) About 20 helpers needed
2) Areas include Ushers, Registration, Station In Charge (eg. Food Station, Pratice area etc) and Crowd Control

*Batch 4 can clock as a CD project
*Batch 1,2,3,5 can clock hours

Basically there are 2 major roles, "Helper" or ''Participanting in the cheering" Those who are interested, please reply by to your respective leader by 2pm, 28th February 2010 (Sunday).

An separate email will be send out to the helpers and participants once we confirm the rest of the details for the event.

Play!(Contact Rugby Clinic for Girls)

Hi YTSAs,

We have some good news for you! The Singapore Rugby Union is organizing an Intro to Contact Rugby clinic throughout March. However, the clinic is only open to girls(Sorry guys).

Also, This is not an official YTSA event or TS event. Therefore, no hours and CD project can be clocked.
