Hi YTSA and Leaders


We will be going down for the following cheering events. We will be doing lots of cheer and rock the whole Singapore Sports School!
PLEASE LEARN THE TS CHEER!!! IMPORTANT!!! KEEP ON LISTENING AND WATCH THE VIDEO! THANK YOU =)


Event: AYG Swimming Finals
Date: 4th July, Saturday and 5th July, Sunday
Venue: Singapore Sports School (Please make your own way to the SSS) Bus 901 from Woodlands Bus Interchange and alight at the 4th Bus Stop
Time to report: 4.45pm (Leaders to report at 4.30pm)
Attire: YTSA Orange Polo Tee


Dateline to RSVP: 1st July, Wednesday

YTSA Involvement in AYG Torch Relay CANCELLED!!!

To all YTSA and Leaders

YTSA involvement in the AYG Torch Relay taking place this coming Sunday is cancelled due to the rising H1N1 cases. Our health is more important than anything else.

The AYG Torch Relay is a big event as YTSA will be mingling with a lot of people from the public. We need to stay together as one.

We understand your disappointment in not being able to attend this once-in a life time event. Therefore, if there is an improvement in the H1N1 situation, we will be arranging for everyone to watch Swimming or Table Tennis on the 4 or 5 July in Singapore Sports School or Toa Payoh Sports Hall to cheer for our own Team Singapore Youth Athletes.

We hope to hear from you by 29 June, Monday so that we can reserve tickets for the Cheering Event. In the meantime, drink lots of water and if all goes well, see you guys at the cheering events next weekend.

Time and schedule will be very tight for the next few weeks. We will update all the details through email and ytsa blog at http://www.team-ytsa.blogspot.com/

YTSA Soccer Tournament

Hi YTSA! =)

Next Monday, 22 June 2009, 4.30pm to 7.30pm, we’ll be having a soccer tournament for us YTSA to take part in! It will be inter-groups, so this is a chance to prove that your group is stronger than the rest! (:

Some points to note:

• · There will be attractive Saucony prizes to be won for the winning team!! =)
• · Street Soccer 5-a-side with 4 substitutes. (You can have more players, but there are only prizes for 9, so someone will not receive it yup.)
• · Each game lasts 7 or 8 minutes (depending on whether we have time), with no half-time.
• · Normal street soccer rules apply (example: half-court rule)
• · Rolling-substitutions will apply in game (any amount of substitutions, come out already can still go back in)
• · The groupings will be as such. Red team will be in Group 1, and White team in Group 2. We will play round-robin first, and the winning team of the group will qualify for the finals.
• · In the group stages, a win will earn 3 point, draw 1 point and defeat 0 points. Hence the team with the most points in each group is the winner.
• · Girls who are interested to play are also welcomed to!
• · There will be an instructors’ team! And we will draw lots to either join the red team group or the white team group.

Okay yup that’s about the details, and some points you have to take note:

• · Every 2 groups are allowed to form one team for this tournament. So work with your mirror groups to come out with one squad. (The group that you did with your campfire!)
• · The tournament starts at 4.30pm, but you have to come to SSC at 4pm. We will be settling the logistics. Settle the fixtures, draw lots for instructors’ team, and take photos of your team! (:
• Reply to your instructors with your team by Friday! (:
  
• · Please bring your own water, there should be mineral water provided, but bring just in case.
• Choose someone in your team to bring a soccer ball if you want. This is optional but you may want to warm up before the tournament start.

AYG Torch Relay

We have finally gotten details for the AYG Torch Relay!!!

Date: 28 June, Sunday
Attire: YTSA Orange Polo Tee

We will be cheering upon arrival and departure at district celebration points along Orchard Road on the Hippo Bus.

We will need a total of 4 teams(4 hippo buses). Each team consisting of max 30 people.

Shift Timing: 7am to 1pm(3 teams)
2pm to 5pm(1 team)
Reporting Venue: National Stadium West Entrance Carpark A
Reporting time for 7am shift: 7am
Reporting time for 2pm shift: 130pm

Torch Relay

Hello everyone (:

28 June 2009, Mark that down on your calender.

YTSA is going to take part in a torch relay. This is gonna be an exciting and fun filled event. We will be running around Singapore with the torch bearer. No worries you don't have to be super fit because the distance that we running will not cover more than a marathon. Maybe a half or less? LOL

Details will be given to you as soon as possible. Do check your emails sent out by your Instructors and Leaders and check out the ytsa blog.
