Here are some of the details you need to know for the 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010.

*No transportation allowance will be given. Do drop us a email if you need any clarifications.

Currently we are short of participants to participate for the Cheering Competition. So we strongly encourage you guys to switch over to participate for the Cheering Competition. We will be working with the Leaders to come up with the competition cheer, and please feel free to tell us any ideas that you have. The prizes for the winning team will go into the YTSA Funds, therefore, if you think you can cheer, please come and join the Cheering Competition. With the cash prizes, we can organise more YTSA retreats, outings etc. Also, the winning team will have an opportunity to show case their cheers under the YOG platform, and we think that its a good exposure for the YTSAs. So, do consider changing over to the participating team as we really need participants to form the team now. Participating in the competition will entitled you to 1 CD Project point.

Do drop us an email if you want to switch to the participating team latest by 5th March 2010.

1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010

Dear YTSAs,

Firstly, Happy Lunar New Year and hope you guys enjoyed yourself collecting "ang pows" and eating all the CNY goodies. :)

Singapore Sports Council will be organising the 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010 on the 20th March 2010 (Saturday) and they need enthusiastic helpers and participants for this event.

As you all know, YOG is around the corner, we feel that this will be a good platform for YTSAs to set an example to the others out there on how we should cheer for Team Singapore when they are competing in the games and also at the same time, we are able to improve our cheering by learning the positives from the participating teams. Therefore, we would like to encourage you guys to participate in this cheering event as I think it will be a good exposure for you guys.

If you are not interested in participating, we hope you can be part of the team by helping out on the event day itself as we will work together to make the 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010 a huge success!

Details as follow:
Participating Team

Event : 1st National Cheerleading Championship 2010
Date : 20th March 2010 (Saturday)
Time : TBC when competition schedule is out ( Will be at least a half day)
Venue and Attire : TBC

Others : 1) 10 - 15 Pax per team (We hope to have at least 20 pax to form two teams)
2) Participants have to come up with their own cheers, actions and props if needed
3) Cheer is to be within 60sec to 75sec (Must form your formation and leave the competition platform within 30secs)

*1 CD Project Point will be awarded to all participants

For more information, please approach your group leaders for the rules and regulations and the Registration Form for the Cheering Competition. Interested parties, please complete the Registration Form and send it to your respective leaders by 2pm, 28th February 2010 (Sunday).

Play!(Contact Rugby Clinic for Girls)

We have some good news for you! The Singapore Rugby Union is organizing an Intro to Contact Rugby clinic throughout March. However, the clinic is only open to girls(Sorry guys).

Also, This is not an official YTSA event or TS event. Therefore, no hours and CD project can be clocked.

It was a busy day for the YTSA as we prepared for not one; not two…but three welcome-back sessions for Team Singapore athletes! We started off the event at Terminal 2; a sea of orange ready to welcome back our TS Karate team from the SEA games in Vientiane, Laos. The atmosphere was flooded with our enthusiasm as we waited for the athletes to check out.

Upon stepping out of the arrival doors, the karate team was greeted by the ‘we are proud of you’ cheer, followed by shouts of ‘g-oo-d, j-o-b; good job!’ as the officials presented them with jasmine garlands in a warm gesture of welcome. The team posed proudly with their medals in a testament that Small is Powerful!

After a short break, our YTSA were raring to welcome back our 2nd batch of Table Tennis athletes. Red clappers in hand, the ICs warmed up the group with more cheers while the athletes checked out. As the red jackets came into view, the arrival hall echoed with the vibrant screams of the motivators; providing a pleasant surprise for the players as they entered.

Table Tennis’ Feng Tian Wei was among the Team Singapore athletes returning, having brought Singapore much glory with her 2 gold medals in the SEA games. After the customary team photos, many rushed to have pictures taken with their favorite players, all of whom were more than happy to accept.

On 19th December, the public was present at Changi Airport Terminal 2 to welcome back Team Singapore after the SEA Games in Laos. So were we, the YTSAs. Sporting our orange polo tee-shirts, we waited patiently for the Team to arrive back in sunny Singapore. While we were waiting, we were briefed on what to expect when the athletes arrive. The crowd slowly became bigger.

The athletes finally appeared and waited for their luggage while YTSAs did a final practice and had a final briefing.

The athletes finally claimed their luggages and we stood at attention, ready to give them a resounding welcome back. The athletes came out. And the cheers and shouts they received were overwhelming. Everyone was practically shouting their hearts out. The team walked towards us, smiling and were ushered into a group by the Guest-of- Honour - Singapore Sports Council Chairman Mr Alex Chan who gave his speech, congratulating the athletes from the Silat, Badminton, Cuesports and Petanque.

After the speech, the athletes prepared themselves for a photo-taking session where everyone with cameras started snapping pictures of the team.

We arrive at Terminal 1...which happens to be VERY crowded resulting in us having to switch to another area to welcome the athletes back. We stationed ourselves at the gate which the team will exit from. While we were waiting, we spotted a group of fans who have come to welcome back the team with their cheers and banners. Together, the 2 groups - YTSAs and the fans, started cheering before we even see the athletes.

The athletes finally arrived and we did what we were there for: to welcome them back and to congratulate them for working so hard to make Singapore proud!

The rest of the team appeared and the cheering continues with hand-shaking, hugging and of course, photo-taking. When the athletes were all present, they had their photos taken as a team before the crowd joined in.

Welcome Back for Team Singapore (Water Polo)

On the 11th of December 2009, YTSAs gathered at the airport to welcome back the Team Singapore Water Polo players. They brought tremendous glory to Singapore by clinching the first gold medal in the SEA Games, which is held in Laos, as well as by improving the record of 22 consecutive gold medals to 23!

At the airport, we waited ardently for the players to arrive. During that span of time, we practiced some cheers till it was made perfect.

The water polo team finally arrived at 9pm and were warmly welcomed by our vibrant voices. “G-Double-O-D-J-O-B! Good Job! Good Job!!” We cheered exultantly as each of the players walk past us.

After the team assembled, the welcome back event ended with a photo-taking session. You could tell from the smiles on their faces that they were more than satisfied with their achievement.

Upcoming Well Wishing Event Briefing

Hey YTSA,

Hope everyone is doing well and didn't do anything silly when you received your EOY results. As long as you put in effort and got promoted for next year.

The upcoming well wishing event is going to start on the 13 November 2009 to 5 December 2009. The 4 weeks well wishing campaign aims to collect more than 15,000 well wishes all over Singapore.

Hopefully we will be able to beat the record of 15,000 by the end of the campaign.

There will be a briefing on how are we going to work and what is our role and responsibility during the event day itself. Please come down to Singapore Sports Council on the 12 Nov 2009, 6pm.

1) Interview will be held most probably at the end of Oct for YTSA who are shortlisted.

2) Flag Presentation Ceremony will require YTSA to come up with something special during the evening program and enchance the atmosphere and cheer on for our Team Singapore Athletes.

3) Well Wishing will be during the weekends of Nov. 14,15,21,22,28,29 Nov. YTSA selected and passed the interview compulsory to attend at least 4(TBC).

Event: Interviewing of YTSA shortlisted for SEA Games 2009, LAOS

We will announce the shortlisted YTSA in Mid October. YTSA who are shortlisted will be required to turn up for an Interview. Shortlisted YTSA will be based on number of hours you clocked for events and CD projects. Besides that, your contribution, attitude towards all events will be taken into consideration. Recommendation by teachers and leaders will be bonus to you. However, all shortlisted candidates’ final decision will be made by Team Singapore. All the best to you!

The Christmas gathering is an annual event that we organise to gather all the YTSA at the end of the year for Christmas party and catch up session.

The Basic Instructor Training Camp aims to develop potential leaders and camp instructor for the upcoming and annual YTSA Induction Camp. The BITC will cover the essential skills required to lead a group of 15 to 20 students in a camp.

The Advance Instructor Training Camp only caters to YTSA who have gone through BITC. AITC is a test of leadership, endurance, mental, emotion and physical. Only YTSA who have gone through the camp will advance to be in the Executive Committee in YTSA.

i was at Geylang Methodist Sec Sch (GMSS) with our Team Singapore AYG Bowlers for a sharing session with their sports leaders in conjunction with their 85th Anniversary. There were a million people and to my pleasant surprise, i saw some familiar orange tees running around :)

What was even better is that i realised our YTSAs from GMSS was in charge of organising/hosting the sharing session! Mandy was our very nervous host who had to speak in front of all her school mates and interviewed our bowlers haha...but she did a good job!

YOG 1 Year Countdown to 2010 (By Apple and Priscillia)

On 14 August 2009, there were a crowd of people at the Padang celebrating the 1 year countdown of Youth Olympic. Among the crowd , there were also Singapore athletes wearing in red shirt and pants , they were specially invited to grace the events as they were be taking parts in the Youth Olympic games for Singapore which is making the Singapore proud.

There were some sports booths put out and there were tryout which people were queuing for a long queue. There were several sports like the basketball and soccer which have our local celebrities playing in it, this caught a lot of people attraction.

The Guest of Honor for the event was Professor S Jayakumar, Senior Minister for National Security arrived there at around 7pm, warmly welcomed by the Temasek Polytechnic’s cheers. After the speech, there were several entertainments and performance put up.

At 8pm, the first YOG countdown clock was shown to us, this brought the spirit up, making everyone delighted. Followed by, the fireworks which brightened up the night sky.

After that, it come to an end with some music by our Singapore‘s DJ, and people were staying back to enjoy for the party.

The Youth Olympic Games will be hosted in Singapore and what better way to get everyone into the spirit than by getting them to come down and join us in the revelation of the Youth Olympic Games count-down clock? Getting off from the MRT after an hour long ride will be a relief especially if you were standing and had no space to move about. Even on the MRT, there were traces of the YOG carnival which has already started at the Padang. I alighted at City-Hall Interchange and went up to the street level. ‘Wow’ was the word I used to describe my surroundings. The atmosphere at the Padang was pumped and ‘alive’. More than 5000 people have attended this event which will initiate the 1-year count-down to the Youth Olympic Games which will be held in Singapore in 2010.Here is a little something about the Youth Olympic Games. It consists of 26 sports and 201 events The 26 sports are as follows: Aquatics. Archery. Athletics. Badminton. Basketball. Boxing .Canoe-kayak. Cycling. Equestrian (horse riding). Fencing. Football. Gymnastics. Handball. Hockey. Judo. Modern pentathlon, Rowing, Sailing, Shooting, Table tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

Where ever I go, all I see are people who support Singapore in hosting the Youth Olympic Games. The entire Padang was buzzing with excitement. There were a number of sports which the public can try such as sailing, fencing and archery. Most people say Singaporeans are not physically active, but they are wrong. What I see with my own eyes are Singaporeans, young or old trying out the sports offered with sports such as archery having a queue that snakes here and there.

Of course, archery is not the only sport which we Singaporeans are interested in. To try out these sports, the public has to redeem coupons and they were all fully redeemed. This is concrete prove that Singaporeans are more than just mindless machines who do nothing but stare at the computer screens.

This was only a small margin of the total number of people attending the carnival.

At 7.10pm, the area center stage which was right outside the steps of City Hall was buzzing with excitement as the time for the unveiling of the Youth Olympic Games count-down clock draws near with one hour more to go. It also happens to be the place where Singapore was chosen to host the Youth Olympic Games last year on the 21^st of September. In the duration of this 1 hour, there were performances and mini activities to pump up the crowd and keep them entertained. With just 30 minutes to go until the unveiling, the crowd was pumped up and ready to celebrate.

Everyone is waiting for the YOG count-down
clock to be unveiled.

10 minutes to go and people started taking cameras and handphones in preparation for the glorious moment with some even cheering and recording the whole event. Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security S. Jayakumar, the guest-of-honor was moved by this occasion and atmosphere. “If anyone has any doubts about the support, enthusiasm and spirit of the young for the YOG, they should come here and listen to all of you.” he said. 3 minutes to go and the crowd starts to go crazy, screaming and shouting. 1 minutes more and the atmosphere is intense. 3…2…1…the curtain drops… and the clock is revealed and the crowd goes wild. Flashes were seen in the air as the crowd and photographers started snapping photos. The clock was unveiled at 8.10 pm which if changed to 24-hour would be 2010 which is the year when the Youth Olympic Games will start. With the unveiling of the clock comes the count-down.

20 minutes to go until it was exactly one year before the start of the Youth Olympic Games next year and the crowd was dancing with the host giving comments. 10 minutes to go and everyone were still jumping up and down, with the host egging them on. 2 minutes to go and everyone started to go out of control with the host looking at the clock and finally counting down with the crowd as it reaches 0365 days,

00 minutes and...

20 seconds.

1... !!!

With 365 days to go, YOG will be in
Singapore!!

The Youth Olympic Games will be hosted in Singapore on the 15^th August, 2010.

On the 14th of August 2009, crowds of high-spirited supporters were teeming at the Padang in great anticipation of the global countdown to the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games. Amongst the many that turned up, there were the Team Singapore athletes who had also made themselves especially available on the day to grace the historic occasion.

A strong sporting spirit pervaded the occasion as many sports tryouts and activity booths were made available for everyone to participate. In addition, there were soccer and basketball matches starring our very own local Mediacorp artistes such as Joakim Gomez and Randall, and other volunteered teams.

The Guest of Honour for the event was Professor S Jayakumar, Senior Minister for National Security, who arrived at around 1900 in the evening. He was cordially welcomed by the cheering revelers from the Temasek Polytechnic who were doing a successful job of injecting the crowds with vigor. After an inspiring speech by the Guest of Honour, several performances were lined up to entertain everybody.

At last, the celebratory event culminated in the unveiling of the first YOG countdown clock at 2000. The spirit of the crowds was at an all time high as a dazzling array of colours lit up the night sky with an impressive display of fireworks.

With the official end of the event at around 2100, many stayed behind and continued to party to the music provided by some of Singapore’s top DJs.

One Year Left (By Manfred Lim)

A slight drizzle earlier in the afternoon did not at all mar or dampen the spirits of over 5,000 partygoers, students and volunteers celebrating the 1-year-countdown to next year’s YOG, on 14 August 2010.

From 5 to 7, students and foreign guests thronged the Padang, to take part in the YOG carnival which included Sports tryouts and various sport stations to learn more about the 26 sports contested at next year’s Games. Some attractions included a street soccer pitch, where celebrity matches were held, and an inflated volleyball-soccer trampoline-like court.

IOC president Jacques Rogge, said that preparations for the Games were “well on track” and in a video message transmitted to the 2 LCD walls flanking the Padang, he said that confident that Singapore will host a successful games despite being given a short preparation time.
There was also an Olympic day run sponsored my McDonalds, which drew over 3,000 participants.

The day was also a historic event: the launch of the YOG countdown clock by Omega, who has been the official timekeeper for all Olympic events for the past 77 years. After a few performances at the Padang which included a cheerleading show and a drum concert, the gigantic 10-m tall countdown clock was unveiled at the Padang, and revellers danced and partied until the countdown officially started, at 8:10, with dazzling fireworks lighting up the night sky.
Then, thousands of partygoers crowded St Andrew’s Road to dance and party, accompanied by one of Singapore’s top DJs. This amount of enthusiasm and zeal will surely show itself again next year at the Marina Bay, where the YOG countdown starts.

The venue for the countdown was appropriate, as last year it was the same location where thousands gathered to hear the verdict for the location for the 1st YOG by the IOC – which was Singapore.

Combined APG & AYPG Flag Presentation (By Rena Tan)

The flag presentation ceremony for the Kuala Lumpur ASEAN Para Games and Tokyo 2009 Asian Youth Para Games was held at the Raffles City Shopping Centre on the 1st of August 2009.
On the event, contingents representing Singapore for the upcoming games received an extra boost of support from the Chef De Missions. The Young Team Singapore Ambassador even came down to encourage the contingents.
Spirits of fellow Asian Youth Paralympic and Asian Paralympic games were lifted as the the state flag was being passed to flag bearers, for the ASEAN Para Games and the Asian Youth Para Games are ASEAN Para Games silver medalist, Tay Wei Ming and Paralympic gold medalist, Yip Pin Xiu, respectively.

Mr Raja Singh, Chef de Mission of the ASEAN Para Games, and decorated ex national athlete, will be the one leading the contingent of 50 athletes and officials. He came down for the event, and gave an opening speech before the commencement of the event.

ASEAN Para & Asian Youth Para Games Flag Presentation

On the afternoon of 1st August 2009, Saturday, the Flag Presentation Ceremony was held at Raffles City where loud cheers and applause shook the building as the ceremony began.

A short speech was first made by Mr. Raja Singh. Following the speech was the presentation of the state flag by the respective Chef De Missions to the flag bearers for the ASEAN Para Games, Tay Wei Ming and Asian Youth Para Games, Yip Pin Xiu.

During the event, the athletes also pledged to give their 100 percent commitment for Singapore and never give up. Their hard work and perseverance was truly commendable.

Not forgetting the YTSA, the enthusiastic cheers led by the instructors brought the event to a higher level of fun and excitement which painted a beautiful setting to mark the end of the event.

With their determination and ‘never give up’ spirit, lets all give our support to the athletes. All the best! =D

AYG Swimming Event

Thunderous screams, and cheers, as the Singapore crowd gave support to their home team. The Young Team Singapore Ambassadors also gave their support, by coming for the event.

It was a tough race for the 4x100m medley for girls, as the other 7 teams were fighting equally hard. Kazakhstan and Singapore were the initial lead but it was down to Kazakhstan at the 100m mark.

The lead then became a third placing by the 200m mark for the Kazakhstan, with Korea as the lead. That, however, did not dampen the swimmer’s spirits. Fellow supporters cheered even louder for their home team. Singapore, who was 4th by the 300m mark, fought even harder and succeeded in catching up with the Kazakhstan.

Singapore eventually came in 2nd runners- up by the end of the race alongside Hong Kong, as the runner’s up and Korea as the winner. Indeed, the Singapore swimmers’, Quah Ting Wen, Lynette Lim, Amanda Lim, Roanne Ho showed their never ending determination in representing their country.

I guess it has been quite a busy month for everyone.

Fighting against the H1N1 virus, AYG, school work and other personal activities you are involved in.

We have gone through the camp in june, tee shirt packing in june, AYG cheering event, the street soccer challenge, packing of goodies for AYG appreciation night, being an usher, distribution of goodie bags and celebration together as one.

Young Team Singapore Ambassador

A Sports Leader representing the nation, school, community, peers and yourself.

Promoting sports, motivating athletes and celebrating the success and achievement of everyone that contributed. With the help from the organising committee, staff, athletes, volunteers, schools and others who contributed in their own ways.

YTSA Involvement in AYG Torch Relay CANCELLED!!!

To all YTSA and Leaders

YTSA involvement in the AYG Torch Relay taking place this coming Sunday is cancelled due to the rising H1N1 cases. Our health is more important than anything else.

The AYG Torch Relay is a big event as YTSA will be mingling with a lot of people from the public. We need to stay together as one.

We understand your disappointment in not being able to attend this once-in a life time event. Therefore, if there is an improvement in the H1N1 situation, we will be arranging for everyone to watch Swimming or Table Tennis on the 4 or 5 July in Singapore Sports School or Toa Payoh Sports Hall to cheer for our own Team Singapore Youth Athletes.

We hope to hear from you by 29 June, Monday so that we can reserve tickets for the Cheering Event. In the meantime, drink lots of water and if all goes well, see you guys at the cheering events next weekend.

YTSA Soccer Tournament

Hi YTSA! =)

Next Monday, 22 June 2009, 4.30pm to 7.30pm, we’ll be having a soccer tournament for us YTSA to take part in! It will be inter-groups, so this is a chance to prove that your group is stronger than the rest! (:

Some points to note:

· There will be attractive Saucony prizes to be won for the winning team!! =)
· Street Soccer 5-a-side with 4 substitutes. (You can have more players, but there are only prizes for 9, so someone will not receive it yup.)
· Each game lasts 7 or 8 minutes (depending on whether we have time), with no half-time.
· Normal street soccer rules apply (example: half-court rule)
· Rolling-substitutions will apply in game (any amount of substitutions, come out already can still go back in)
· The groupings will be as such. Red team will be in Group 1, and White team in Group 2. We will play round-robin first, and the winning team of the group will qualify for the finals.
· In the group stages, a win will earn 3 point, draw 1 point and defeat 0 points. Hence the team with the most points in each group is the winner.
· Girls who are interested to play are also welcomed to!
· There will be an instructors’ team! And we will draw lots to either join the red team group or the white team group.

Okay yup that’s about the details, and some points you have to take note:

· Every 2 groups are allowed to form one team for this tournament. So work with your mirror groups to come out with one squad. (The group that you did with your campfire!)
· The tournament starts at 4.30pm, but you have to come to SSC at 4pm. We will be settling the logistics. Settle the fixtures, draw lots for instructors’ team, and take photos of your team! (:
Reply to your instructors with your team by Friday! (:
· Please bring your own water, there should be mineral water provided, but bring just in case.
Choose someone in your team to bring a soccer ball if you want. This is optional but you may want to warm up before the tournament start.

There will be a leadership training camp held on the 30 to 31 May at MOE Labrador Adventure Centre. This training is held to train leaders for the upcoming 5th YTSA induction Camp which will be held on the 5th to 7th June 2009 at MOE Labrador Adventure Centre.

Things to bring for the camp make sure it is sufficient for the 2 days. There might be wet activity. Last but not least come to this training camp with an Open Mind because you are the future leaders of YTSA.

YTSA who are attending the Induction Camp as a Leader will have to come for this training camp. This training camp will provide the YTSA with the necessary knowledge and skill to guide the 5th batch of YTSA during the Induction Camp.We need Group Instructors/ Group Leader to lead the team.

Most probably it will be a 3days 2 nights camp on the first week of June.

Chingay Reflections

My first time performing in chingay makes me feel nervous. I was performing for in a big event. I had a phobia of performing in front of alot of people. Thus, I only kept thinking about what i needed to do in front of the audiences. At the same time, I was having fun performing because my friends were there beside me, smiling at each other while performing. Overall, it was tiring performing for four times but it was worth it as it made me overcome my fears and i was very happy about it. In addition, I was on television! Not many people would have this opportunity to be on television. I would like to thank everyone for making this event a success and i will remember it for the rest of my life. THANK YOU!

To begin with, to be able to participate in this chingay this year, will be something that is etched in me. I am pleased to say that the whole experience was a fruitful one. Through this experience, I was able to get to know how chingay works and what happens behind the television screen. You get to see how such big event really work out. To me, it was more than just another event I participated through YTSA, it was an eye-opener. Those few briefings and rehearsals allowed me to get closer with my fellow team Singapore ambassadors and make new friends. Throughout the event, I could feel the liveliness and excitement going through each was individual that was present. All the performances were breathtaking. Our performance emphasizes a lot on being ourselves. I felt honoured to be part of the toteboard family. From the scouts to the team Singapore athletes, I was glad to work with this group of people. They were really simply great! The best part about our performance was not only the singing and jumping, but also the giving out of red packets. Every red packet contained different items. It is like a new hope given out. I could see the smiles on the faces of the audience. That was really one part of the performance that made me feel really ecstatic. It feels as though you are giving out hopes to your audience and the feeling is beyond descriptions. As this is the first time I took part in chingay, it is definitely something novel and fascinating to me. If I were to be given another chance to participate it next year, I would be more than happy to do so!

Chingay parades are held every year during the Lunar New Year and this is the first time I am actually participating in the parade itself. As a beneficiary of Toteboard, Team Singapore was asked to participate in this grand event by performing alongside the float.

The objective of our float was to promote the joy of giving as well as reaching out to others. During the event, we had to sing and dance while giving out red packets to the audience. The atmosphere was simply incredible as we encouraged the audience to clap and sing along with us. As we moved along from City Hall to Raffles Avenue, there were many tourists and Singaporeans along the road cheering us on and that feeling is just terrific. Although we had to wait for a long time before the parade begun, it gave us time to bond together as we spend the hours chatting and jesting together.

This Chingay experience has taught me a lot as I see each and every performer as well as official putting in their utmost effort to make the event a success. All in all, this event had been really enjoyable and given a chance I would want to participate in it again.

The Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) logo will be unveiled at CAN! on Sat, 10 January 2009, 2pm onwards, at SMU Campus.

For the first time, all four local universities have come together, forming a joint student committee, to organise CAN! in support of the Singapore 2010 YOG. 1. CAN! Run - a non-competitive 2010-metre run in the heart of Singapore featuring 2010 runners in support of YOG. The first 2010 runners to register will receive a limited edition CAN! T-shirt and certificate. Closing date for registration is 9 January 2009.

Team Singapore will be participating in the in the Commonwealth Youth Games (Pune, India) from 12-18 Oct and in the Asian Beach Games (Bali) from 18-26 Oct. We will be having Welcome Back ceremonies for the athletes going to both games.

The Official Welcome Back Ceremony for the Team Singapore Contingent going to the Commonwealth Youth Games will be held on

The Official Welcome Back Ceremony for the Team Singapore Contingent going to the Asian Beach Games will be held on

Venue: Changi Airport Terminal 2, Arrival Hall (To be confirmed)

Dress code for both events: Team Singapore supporter tee(Orange Tee)
